My wife, Gesa, and I plan to live here for the rest of our lives, and I want Cumberland to be somewhere we can all thrive as we age. It should be a place where our children can live, learn, work, and prosper.
Cumberland holds a special place in our hearts. A unique community, rich in spirit, and while it means something different to each of us, we all share a common desire to preserve and enhance what makes it so special.
I’ve had the honour of representing the citizens of Cumberland on Council for two years since the by-election in 2024. That has been a challenging, demanding, educational, and rewarding experience. But it is just the beginning. I will keep learning, growing, and building on that foundation to serve our community as best I can.
My priorities for Cumberland come from these values. We need to keep addressing housing, ensuring availability and affordability for all income levels. Our aging infrastructure needs improvement and maintenance, at huge expense. To allow for all this, we need more good jobs in business and industry in the Village and the Valley.
Supporting everything is a love for the people, environment and community of the Village and beyond. We cannot prosper without a healthy forest and watershed, a strong society, and care for those whose lives are harder than ours.
Cumberland is a vibrant, special place with a strong sense of community. We face many challenges, but by listening to each other and working together, we can create a safe and enjoyable place for everyone. I ask for your support in this journey, and I pledge to always serve with integrity, humility, and enthusiasm.
